The "Iraqi Super-Computer" legend is an urban legend revolving around the PlayStation 2.

Description

In 2000, it was reported by numerous news media outlets, primarily well-known far-right news aggregator World Net Daily, that Saddam Hussein, then President of Iraq, had secretly been stockpiling approximately 4,000 PlayStation 2 consoles. According to the rumors, Hussein and his military planned to somehow combine the consoles into a crude super-computer capable of advanced military applications. The exact method by which this goal would be achieved was never detailed by proponents of the conspiracy theory. As to be expected, the story turned out to be false. [1]
