The "All Bonds Cheat" legend is an urban legend revolving around the 1997 first-person shooter GoldenEye.
Description
Based on the popular James Bond franchise of spy films, GoldenEye is one of the most famous and well-received first-person shooter games of all time. The Bond that stars in the game is based on Irish actor Pierce Brosnan, the actor who played Bond in the film GoldenEye.
For an April Fool’s Day joke, popular gaming magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly posted an article claiming that there existed an “All Bonds” cheat for the game, which when entered would allow the player to unlock the other versions of James Bond, including Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, and Timothy Dalton. The feature was planned to be included in the game but was scrapped late in development.
Hackers later discovered the unused models and textures for the other Bonds still present in the game and managed to recreate the feature.
